About the Challenge

Baobabooks is launching its first annual World Peace Day Challenge. We are partnering with a variety of companies, organizations and schools to inspire young artists and writers to create for peace and engage in this year’s theme ‘End Racism. Build Peace’. Certificates will be awarded to all participants and their stories and artwork will be published on the Baobabooks’ platform. Winners will have their stories featured on our blog and a selection of our sponsors’ websites.

Guidelines for Documenting Your Artwork

Here are some simple tips for uploading high quality artwork to the Baobabooks' platform.

1

We need to see a good quality scan or photo of your artwork in order to judge it properly! You can either scan your artwork or take a photo of it. Acceptable formats for uploading your artwork are .pdf and .jpeg.

Tip: If you need help ask a parent or teacher.

2

Make sure that all of your artwork can be seen clearly and that it is well lit when taking a photo of it. Take a photo outside on a sunny day, or in a well-lit room.

Tip: Use some desk lamps to help you if it is a cloudy day or the room is dark!

3

The photo must be in focus so that it is possible to see every little detail. So remember to carefully focus the camera on your artwork before taking your photo.

Tip: You can always use a support to keep your camera steady!
