Through this easy-to-use platform, children can express themselves by selecting from a variety of fun and creative prompts, such as “Dear Eczema” or “Be Your Own Eczema Superhero,” to tell a story that highlights their unique journeys with the condition — offering comfort, encouragement and inspiration to others. Within the platform, users also have the opportunity to read other stories, comment and share feedback, and even collaborate on stories together.
“Living with a chronic skin condition like eczema can be isolating, particularly for children, who are more likely to experience bullying and social isolation due to the visible nature of the condition,” noted Olivia Fossali, Co-founder and Chief Growth Officer at Baobabooks. “We are excited to launch ‘My Skin My Story’ with Dermavant Sciences to make sure these children feel heard, empowered, and encouraged to express themselves.”
