Baobabooks Co-founder Olivia Fossali Awarded WISE Emerging Leaders Fellowship
We are very proud to announce that our co-founder Olivia Fossali has been awarded a fellowship with the World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE) Emerging Leaders programme, sponsored by the Qatar Foundation.
Chosen for their engagement in the field of education and social issues and their drive to develop innovative solutions to transform education systems, each of the carefully screened and selected participants from around the world will join the programme. This runs for nine months with both in-person residential programmes and on-line workshops focused on mentoring the next generation of leaders in education.
"Olivia has made innumerable contributions as a co-founder of Baobabooks," commented Peter Nicholson, CEO and Co-founder of Baobabooks. "It's really gratifying, though not surprising, to see her being recognised by organizations as well-known and respected as WISE and the Qatar Foundation through this prestigious fellowship."
Created in 2009, WISE is a dynamic platform that promotes innovation in education through a diverse portfolio of initiatives in policy engagement, research, leadership, and practitioner programs. The WISE community is a network of education stakeholders – from students to decision-makers – from about 200 countries who share ideas and collaborate to seek creative solutions to solve challenges facing education.
