Baobabooks salutes World Children's Day and encourages children everywhere to express their unique voice
To mark the occasion of World Children's Day on 20 November, Baobabooks is encouraging children everywhere to engage and write their story. Every child has a unique story to tell – whether it's an exciting adventure you have imagined, a magical tale about your favourite pet, or a story about your daily life that could make someone smile.
On World Children's Day the organization is inviting participation in its global community of young authors.
Consider these points: - Your story might help another child feel less alone - Your creative ideas might inspire someone to write their own story - Your unique perspective could teach others about your culture or experiences - Your imagination could make someone laugh or smile when they need it most
"Remember, there is no story too big or too small. Every story you share adds something special to our global library of children's voices," stated Soukeina Mamodhoussen, Co-founder and Head of Education and Learning at Baobabooks. "Whether you are writing your first story or your hundredth, we can't wait to read what you create!"
World Children's Day was established by the United Nations in 1954 as Universal Children's Day and is celebrated on 20 November annually to promote international togetherness, awareness among children worldwide, and improve children's welfare.
