Baobabooks launches French language version of creativity platform for classroom-based and distance learning

Baobabooks Education Sàrl today announced that it has added French as a language that can be used on its platform, purpose built to support children, teens and young adults to write, illustrate and publish their own books.

"We are focused on lowering the barriers to education by making our platform increasingly more accessible around the world," explained Peter Nicholson, Founder of Baobabooks Education Sàrl. "Having our platform available in French expands its utility by increasing the size of our audience and supports our goal of facilitating inclusive and equitable quality education for all."

French is the fifth most spoken language worldwide, with 280 million speakers. It is an official language in 21 countries in Africa and 29 countries worldwide; Belgium, Benin, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Canada, Chad, the Ivory Coast, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Djibouti, Equatorial Guinea, France, Haiti, Luxembourg, Madagascar, Mali, Monaco, Niger, Rwanda, Senegal, Seychelles, Switzerland, Togo and Vanuatu.
