Baobabooks Education launches enhanced creativity platform for classroom-based and distance learning
4 January 2021 (Geneva). Baobabooks Education Sàrl today announced that it has launched a new version of its platform, purpose built to support children, teens and young adults to write, illustrate and publish their own books.
"While lots of attention and resources have been focused on digital engagement of STEM courses, relatively little has been done to support creativity," explained Peter Nicholson, Founder of Baobabooks Education Sàrl.
"As a social impact company, we are seeking to make a difference by partnering with educators and parents through our creativity platform and by contributing to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education is accessible for all."
Despite significant progress made since the UN's Sustainable Development Goals were first announced, according to the United Nations over 200 million children will still be out of school in 2030. Inequalities in education have been further exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic as school closures have kept 90% of students out of school.
Baobabooks hopes its platform can be used to help young people and adults across the world achieve relevant and recognized proficiency levels in functional literacy at successful completion of basic education by 2030.
