Guidelines and Criteria
for the Challenge
Use one of the Christmas challenge to inspire your writing and artwork.
Any student 9 – 18 years old is welcome to join the Christmas Writing Challenge.
Limit your writing to 500 words. You may choose to include images.
Each participant can submit a maximum of one writing entry.
The story should be original and one that has not previously been published for a competition. Any story that is fully or partially copied from any other source, or generated by AI, will not be accepted.
The Timeline
- The challenge starts on 1st December, 2024. All entries must be submitted before 12 a.m. (Central European Time) on 26th December, 2024.
- The winners will be announced by 10th January 2025. Prizes will then be awarded for the winner of each category and winning entries will be featured on the Baobabooks’ community library platform shortly thereafter.
- All participants will receive a downloadable certificate of participation.
