Make a Difference Creative Writing Challenge
Calling all changemakers! Are you bursting with ideas on how to make the world a better place? Did you know that people from all around the world are working together to make our planet a better place? They have come up with some special goals called the UN Sustainable Development Goals, or SDGs for short. These goals help us create a happier, healthier, and fairer world for everyone. Baobabooks is launching their Make a Difference Challenge in collaboration with ZNotes using the SDGs.

First, boost your skills with our free creative writing course on the ZNotes platform, then unleash your creativity to change the world on the Baobabooks platform. Use your imagination to write stories or create art inspired by the UN SDGs.Your words and art have the power to inspire, don’t miss this opportunity to make a difference! Certificates will be awarded to all participants and their stories and artwork will be published on the Baobabooks’ platform. Winners will have their stories featured on our blog and be awarded prizes.

Guidelines and Criteria for the Challenge
Before embarking on your writing journey, familiarize yourself with the Rules and Guidelines for the writing challenge
The Timeline
- The challenge starts on August 1, 2024. Start submitting entries from August 12. All entries must be submitted before 12 a.m. (CET) on September 1, 2024.
- The winners will be announced no later than September 30, 2024. Prizes will then be awarded for the winner of each category and winning entries will be featured on the Baobabooks’ community library platform shortly thereafter.
- All participants will receive a downloadable certificate of participation.
